The NDP introduced the largest tax increase in Alberta history without campaigning on it.
They took $1.4 billion out of the economy each year with little to no environmental gains to show for it.
It increased costs for people heating their homes, fueling their cars, for taking their kids to child care, or for paying for groceries.

I just introduced the Carbon Tax Repeal Act as Bill 1 of the new #ableg.

More than one million Albertans, the largest mandate in Alberta history, gave our plan their stamp of approval.
And on June 4, 2019, the carbon tax was officially repealed.
Promise made.
Promise kept.
