Alberta’s Economic Recovery Plan includes major progress on a big campaign commitment made by United Conservatives in the last election.
Under the NDP, taxes on job creators went up 20 per cent.
We promised to reverse the trend in a big way to invite investment back to Alberta. The promise was to drop the tax rate from 12 per cent to 8 per cent by 2022. Now, it will be reduced to 8 per cent on July 1, 2020!
That’s not just the lowest in Canada.
That’s one of the lowest rates across North America.
This sends a serious message to investors. In Alberta, we’re serious about job creation. In Alberta, we are open for business.
Estimates on the Job Creation Tax Cut show that it will lead to 55,000 jobs and $13 billion in new economic investment.
